Coromandel: 77-Year-Old Doctor Assaulted, Investigation Links to Another Case

A 77-year-old man was violently assaulted in his home at Chapman Hill, Coromandel, on Saturday morning. The investigation has taken a new turn after connections were identified with another criminal case that occurred the day before in St-Pierre. Dr. Rabindranath Ji Modun, commonly known as Ramesh, a private practice doctor, was admitted to Dr. A. G. Jeetoo Hospital in Port-Louis, where he remains under observation. On Saturday, around 9:45 AM, he heard a vehicle honking outside his house.
