Fatal Accident in Grand Bel-Air: "If I wasn’t a strong father, I would be alone," says the father of the surviving twins

"If I wasn’t a strong father, I would be alone," confides Jean Shirley Mava, the father of the 14-year-old twins (a sister and a brother). They are the survivors of a tragic accident that occurred in Grand Bel-Air on Monday, which claimed the life of their mother, Alexina Aristide, 55, as well as Naden Chelikani, 58, the driver of the vehicle involved.

The two children are currently hospitalized at Jawaharlall Nehru hospital in Rose-Belle. The boy has both feet in casts, while the girl has undergone surgery on her foot and has an arm in a cast. "I have not yet informed them of their mother's passing. I am waiting for their health to improve before sharing the sad news," explains Jean Shirley Mava.

The father of the young victims is calling for public solidarity to help him provide diapers and 'Yop' drinks for his twins. You can find the poignant testimony of the father in the attached video.

It is worth noting that the car in which the victims were traveling caught fire after crashing into a tree. The two twins sustained severe injuries, as did a 37-year-old man, another passenger in the vehicle.
