At Victoria Urban Terminal: A Man Assaults a Teenager

On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 21, a 15-year-old boy had a traumatic experience at the Victoria Urban Terminal. An unknown man approached him and threatened him with a knife. The assailant fled with Rs 1,500 and is currently being sought by the authorities.

The suspect gained the teenager's trust using a trick. While he was waiting for his bus after shopping, the suspect, who is approximately 1.75 meters tall and was wearing a red t-shirt and light brown jeans, engaged him in conversation. The stranger introduced himself with a false name and offered to sell the minor clothes at unbeatable prices.

TRICKERY

The criminal went so far as to lead the teenager to a closed shop at the terminal. Pretending to be able to procure the items at a discounted rate, he demanded an advance payment. When the teenager refused, wanting to see the clothes before paying, the scammer changed tactics and offered to take the boy along to "retrieve the keys" to the store.

Feeling reassured by this scheme, the teenager handed over Rs 1,500 to the individual. However, as he followed him under the Decaen flyover, the minor began to have doubts and requested his money back. At that moment, the suspect brandished a knife with a red handle to intimidate the teenager. He then fled towards Caudan.

Although the young boy was not injured, he is deeply traumatized by this assault. The suspect, described as having dark skin with a beard and short hair, is being sought. The area where the theft occurred is not covered by surveillance cameras. However, the teenager was able to provide a description of his assailant.
