St Pierre: A Fifty-Year-Old Man Passes Away After an Assault

On April 2nd, a 52-year-old man was assaulted in his home in St-Pierre and was admitted to the intensive care unit at Dr. A. G. Jeetoo Hospital in Port-Louis. He passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd, around 1 PM. An autopsy conducted that evening determined the cause of death to be septicemia. He sustained a severe head injury following a violent altercation that occurred on the ground floor of his house. A 60-year-old woman, the victim's partner, has been taken into custody in connection with the investigation.
