Twaha Academy: A Teacher Identifies Mufti Azhar Peerbocus

A teacher from Twaha Academy Boarding School has officially identified Mufti Azhar Peerbocus as the individual who allegedly slapped two students within the establishment located in the East. Accused of mistreatment by several students, he has been in custody since his return to the country on April 18 from South Africa, following an 'Arrest Upon Arrival' order. He has been provisionally charged with 'Child Ill-Treatment'. At the time of the alleged incidents, Azhar Peerbocus was serving as a teacher and Acting Principal at Twaha Academy, located in Bel-Air. He left the country on April 1, shortly after a first complaint was lodged. He was dismissed from his position following the outbreak of the case on March 30 and remains in custody. The police investigation is ongoing.
