Miss World Mauritius: Shreeya Bokhoree, a Committed Natural

At just 23 years old, Shreeya Bokhoree has been crowned Miss World Mauritius 2026. With international ambition and a commitment to environmental issues, the young woman from Nouvelle-France aims to proudly represent her island.

The announcement was made on Friday, April 24th. During the finals of the 55th edition of the contest held at Club Med in Pointe-aux-Canonniers, Shreeya Bokhoree was crowned Miss World Mauritius 2026. The podium was completed by Divya Ramdewor and Anneclaire Fourneau, who were named first and second runners-up, respectively, while Elodie Borriglione earned the title of Miss Intercontinental.

Barely crowned, the new beauty queen is already showcasing her ambitions. "I feel honored and proud. The real work begins now," she shares. Aligned with the vision of the national committee president, Primerose Obeegadoo, she does not hide her goal: "I sincerely believe that by working together, we can finally bring an international title to Mauritius and show the world what our island truly is."

At 23 years old, this Nouvelle-France resident holds an International Baccalaureate (IB) from Le Bocage School (LBIS). She graduated with First Class Honours in advertising, public relations, and branding. In the realm of beauty pageants, she previously held the title of Miss Earth in 2024.

Currently a Marketing Executive at La Chartreuse Group, Shreeya Bokhoree is no stranger to the business world. As the daughter of Ashvin Bokhoree, CEO and founder of the group, she gained experience from a young age through regular internships at the family company.

Among her other projects: through this platform, she aims to promote sustainability and responsible environmental management. Having grown up among tea plantations, the young woman draws strength from her roots.

"Growing up among tea fields, agriculture and nature are integral parts of my life. Protecting them is both crucial and urgent," she explains. Her environmental leadership emerged early; she presided over the LBIS Green Initiative Eco-School for two years.

Described by those close to her as a vibrant and approachable personality, Shreeya Bokhoree defines herself primarily by her discipline: "Once I commit, I push myself to exceed expectations." This rigor stems from her spiritual values and sensitivity towards nature.

Behind the Miss lies an accomplished artist as well. A talented Bharatanatyam dancer, whom she has also taught, she finds balance in painting. "Art is my way to decompress," she explains. "I love exploring museums during my travels to analyze the depth of artworks."

Runners-up Podium

Elected first runner-up, Divya Ramdewor, 26, combines professional rigor with a social conscience. Holding a Master of Laws and working as a Compliance Executive, this Pamplemousses resident aspires to go beyond legal frameworks. Convinced that true strength lies in resilience and compassion, she hopes to use her platform to become a voice for empowerment. Her goal is to bring about tangible and sustainable change, particularly focusing on the needs of children with special requirements.

The title of second runner-up goes to Anneclaire Fourneau, 22 years old and residing in Pointe-aux-Piments, who works as a secretary in the restaurant department of the Trou aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa. She describes herself as a person with overflowing creativity, unwavering perseverance, and infectious positive energy.

Miss Intercontinental: Elodie Borriglione, Between Design and Commitment
