MMM: 28 Members of the Regional Committee of Constituency No. 4 Resign

Twenty-eight members from various branches of the regional committee of Constituency No. 4 (Port-Louis North/Montagne-Longue) of the MMM have resigned from all party positions. A letter to this effect was sent on Monday, April 27, to the regional secretary of Constituency No. 4 and to the general secretary of the MMM. In their correspondence, they explain their reasons for leaving, notably citing the resignation of Paul Bérenger as Deputy Prime Minister. Some believe that the current collegial leadership of the party is no longer aligned with the "moral and ethical values" that motivated them to join the MMM. Others emphasize that Paul Bérenger's resignation marks a "decisive turning point."
