Heavy Rain Warning: NEOC Activated to Level 2

The National Emergency Operations Command (NEOC) has been activated to Level 2. Since Tuesday morning, firefighters have conducted several interventions across the country after Mauritius was placed under a heavy rain warning issued at 9:30 AM on April 28, valid until 7 PM.

Reports of water accumulation have been noted in a house in Rose-Belle, as well as in yards in Camp de Masque, Chemin-Grenier, and Rose-Belle. The NEOC is closely monitoring the situation.

Underground parking facilities in Port Louis should be avoided.

The public is urged to stay indoors, avoid plains, hiking, and sea outings. It is also advised to refrain from seeking shelter under trees during thunderstorms.
