PMQTs: EDB: One-Year Contract Extension for Deputy CEO Appointed Without Call for Applications

MP Raviraj Beechook questioned Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam regarding the appointment and contract renewal of Sachin Mohabeer, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Economic Development Board (EDB).

The Prime Minister stated that Sachin Mohabeer was appointed on April 11, 2023, for a three-year contract. This position did not undergo any call for applications as the individual was directly selected by the former board of directors.
