MSAW: Chairperson Anuja Ghoorah-Ramkissoon Resigns, Claims 'Interference' from Junior Minister
Anuja Ghoorah-Ramkissoon has resigned from her position as Chairperson of the Mauritius Society for Animal Welfare (MSAW). She confirmed this on her LinkedIn account on Thursday, April 30. In her post, she denounces the interference of a Junior Minister in the council's decisions, mentioning comments suggesting that the council exists merely to "warm chairs."
She also notes that two other members, including the minister's representative, Dr. P. Gowreesunkur, have also left the council.
Anuja Ghoorah-Ramkissoon expressed her gratitude to the Minister of Agro-Industry, Dr. Arvin Boolell, for the trust placed in her during her tenure on the council.
