Plaisance: Seizure of Rs 4 Million Worth of Cocaine from Ugandan Courier
Approximately 233 grams of cocaine, valued at around Rs 4 million, were seized at Plaisance Airport from a 37-year-old Ugandan courier on Thursday, April 23. She arrived in the country from Nairobi. Two packets of cocaine were found in her handbag.
During a check, the Anti-Drug Smuggling Unit (ADSU) and customs officials determined that she had swallowed several other packets. The suspect was admitted to the hospital, where she expelled twelve packets of cocaine. By Thursday, May 30, she completed this process and was handed over to the ADSU.
