May 1st Mass: "Solidarity from Above is a Moral Obligation" Emphasizes Father Georgy Kenny

Father Georgy Kenny, the General Vicar, called for collective solidarity in light of the rising cost of living during the May 1st Mass held at the Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Secours Church in Trou-d'Eau-Douce. The celebration was themed: "Value Work, Value Workers."

"The skyrocketing cost of living due to the global context is a clear indication of the struggles families face to make ends meet and lead a decent life. The household budget is tightening. A solidarity from all sides, especially from above, is a moral obligation — Everyone must tighten their belts," he stated.

He emphasized that during times of austerity, the burden should not fall solely on the most vulnerable, and solidarity from those in power is a moral necessity.
