Leptospirosis: Fifth Death Recorded

A 60-year-old man from Montagne Blanche has died from leptospirosis on May 1st. A professional gardener, he had been admitted to Sir Anerood Jugnauth Hospital (SAJ) around April 25th in a critical condition.

According to available information, the elderly man had several health complications, including heart problems, which required prompt attention from a cardiologist. However, his condition deteriorated rapidly.
