Belle-Mare: A 59-Year-Old Woman Drowns

Tragedy struck Belle-Mare on May 1st. A 59-year-old woman from Forest Side, Curepipe, lost her life after encountering difficulties while swimming in the lagoon of the public beach at Belle-Mare, as reported by her daughter.

The daughter explained that her mother was swimming in the lagoon when she suddenly faced problems. Volunteers present at the scene quickly intervened to bring her back to the beach.
