Residence Tole: Cannabis, Synthetic Drugs, and Gun Seized, One Suspect Arrested

A 42-year-old man was arrested during an operation conducted by the ADSU in Mahébourg on May 1 at Residence Tole. Around 8:05 AM, police intercepted and searched a vehicle belonging to the suspect, who resides in Cité La Chaux, Mahébourg.

The search led to the seizure of 17 cannabis plants, 140 doses of synthetic drugs, and 15 additional packets containing the same substance.

Investigators also found Rs 23,350, suspected to be derived from illegal activities. Police confiscated a Walther P22 pistol, colored black and olive green, along with a magazine containing four cartridges.

The suspect is now in police custody. A search conducted at his home yielded no incriminating evidence. The investigation continues to determine the origin of the drugs, the weapon, and the recovered funds.
