Pre-Budget Consultations: Bakers Facing Labor Shortages and Rising Prices

In the context of pre-budget consultations, the Junior Minister of Finance, Dhaneshwar Damry, continued his discussions on Monday, May 4th. After meeting with representatives from the Fishermen's Association, he next met with members of the Bakers' Association.

The main topics of discussion were the labor shortage affecting the sector and the issue of recruiting foreign workers. The representatives also voiced their concerns regarding the rising prices of diesel and electricity, costs that increasingly burden their operations.
