Tourism: Budget 2026-2027: AHRIM Sounds the Alarm and Proposes Four Urgent Measures to the Government
After an encouraging start to the year, the tourism sector is showing signs of fragility. Tourist arrivals increased by 7.7% in January and 12.1% in February, but slowed to just 1.3% in March. Since April, the trend has reversed: hotel occupancy rates dropped from 72% to 70%, and passenger arrivals fell by 3.1% between April 1 and April 22. This is occurring in a tense global context, particularly with the effects of the war in the Middle East impacting confidence.
