Sixtine Marot Takes the Helm of RM Club, Representing a New Generation of Mauritian Leaders
At just thirty-three years old, Sixtine Marot has already carved out an impressive career. Recently appointed CEO of the RM Club, this seasoned professional, winner of the African Woman Award in 2024 and 2025, is driven by an unwavering passion for her work. Meet a determined, dynamic, and visionary young woman.
A new generation of leaders is gradually taking charge of Mauritian companies, and women are no longer sitting on the sidelines. Sixtine Marot is a perfect example: a thirty-three-year-old new mother, she has already proven herself and much more in the hospitality and aviation sectors.
Since 2023, she has been the Head of Sales and Marketing at Air Mauritius and previously held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at Southern Cross Hotels, as well as various roles in the hospitality sector both in Mauritius and internationally.
As a specialist in customer service and hospitality, Sixtine Marot plans to leverage this invaluable expertise to "create a genuine community around the RM clubs, offering a memorable customer experience and raising our standards of excellence," she emphasizes.
A New Vision of Leadership
To achieve this, the CEO will promote a new approach to leadership, characterized by closeness to employees, the sharing of ideas, and the establishment of a "common and positive energy" to satisfy the community of members. According to her, "The RM Club can rely on excellent infrastructure, which is a great foundation. Now, we will focus on our teams to help them make a difference. I will capitalize on my experience in hospitality and my energy to lead our teams with enthusiasm, dynamism, and friendliness."
Coming from a family of athletes, Sixtine Marot understands the benefits of sports for health, both physical and mental. Her father was a prominent footballer representing the country, one of her brothers played rugby in France for Stade Toulousain, and another manages a padel club in Réunion. She herself is a big fan of trail running, kitesurfing, and CrossFit. "Since childhood, I have been imbued with the values of sports. Work is my great passion, but sports allow me to bring balance to my life," she states.
For Rémy Mabillon, founder of the RM Club, this appointment aligns perfectly with his vision for the group's development on the island: "What struck me about Sixtine is primarily her dynamism and the positive energy she exudes. Her sense of leadership and experience are also key assets that will allow us to further elevate our team's standard and make a difference in the field. We are therefore very pleased to welcome her to the RM Family."
So stay tuned for the RM Clubs, where, as Sixtine Marot indicates, "every moment, every touchpoint will be designed to make the experience as smooth and pleasant as possible."
