Facing the Budget Wall

Pre-budget consultations often resemble a ritual: the same rooms, the same reports, the same promises of 'public-private partnership.' However, this year, behind the diplomatic phrases and institutional handshakes, something has changed: the economy has abruptly reclaimed its place over politics.

The country is approaching the Budget 2026-2027 with a public debt nearing 90% of GDP and external debt close to Rs 100 million.
