Eid-ul-Adha: Livestock Price Set at Rs 186 per Kilo

The government has set the price of livestock for Qurbani at Rs 186 per kilo, which is an increase of Rs 11 compared to 2025. This price is effective immediately and will be in place for 10 days after the religious celebration of Eid-ul-Adha. The announcement was made by the Minister of Housing and Land, Shakeel Mohamed, during a press conference on Friday afternoon.

Shakeel Mohamed also explained that importers had requested Rs 220 per kilo, but the ministerial committee established to study the matter considered several factors before making this recommendation to the cabinet, including transport costs related to imports.
