Bad Weather This Saturday
A warning for strong swells is in effect in Mauritius until 4 AM on Sunday, May 10. Clouds from the east-southeast are affecting local weather conditions. Overcast periods are expected this morning and early afternoon with intermittent rain, particularly in the East, South, and Central Plateau regions. The weather will gradually improve afterward, with clear skies expected tonight.
Winds will blow from the east-southeast at approximately 25 km/h, with gusts reaching about 50 km/h. The open sea will be very rough with swells of around 4 meters. Waves may crash onto low-lying coastal areas in the West and South, especially during high tide. It is strongly advised that fishermen, boaters, and the general public refrain from going out to sea and avoid beaches during high tide.
Maximum temperatures will range from 22 to 25 degrees Celsius in the Central Plateau and from 27 to 29 degrees Celsius in coastal areas. Minimum temperatures will be between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius in the Central Plateau and between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius along the coast.
