Petite Rivière: A 21-Year-Old Painter Dies in Road Accident

The body of a 21-year-old man was found by the roadside in Petite Rivière yesterday morning, Sunday, May 10, 2026. His motorcycle ended up in a sugarcane field.

The victim, a resident of Gros Cailloux, was rushed to Jeetoo Hospital but did not survive his injuries.

An autopsy revealed that his death was due to multiple traumatic injuries.

Investigators from the Petite Rivière CID are reviewing surveillance camera footage from the area to determine the circumstances of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
