St-Rémy: Man Hospitalized After Group Assault

A man was violently attacked in St-Rémy, located in the Flacq region, on May 14 at around 6:20 AM while walking home. Near a local business, a vehicle stopped beside him, and two individuals got out to ask for his identification.

After checking his identity, the assailants reportedly claimed to have found the person they were looking for. They were then joined by other accomplices and began to assault the victim. He was struck multiple times with a metal bar and a tonfa, receiving blows to his arms, legs, and head before collapsing.

The injured man was assisted by emergency services and transported to Flacq Hospital, where he was admitted. His condition is stable. The police have launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators of this attack.
