Animal Welfare: NGOs Call for a More Fair and Responsible Debate

A group of about fifteen individuals, along with several non-governmental organizations (NGOs) dedicated to animal protection, have sent a letter to Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam and Minister of Agro-Industry Arvin Boolell. They are calling for a "more constructive and responsible" approach to animal welfare in Mauritius. In this correspondence recently sent to the authorities, the signatories express their desire to foster a dialogue based on "facts, respect, and responsibility" regarding animal welfare issues.
