Consumption: ACIM Denounces Near-Monopoly Situations and Rise in Banking Fraud
At a press conference held on Tuesday, May 19, at their office in Bell-Village, the Association of Consumers of Mauritius (ACIM) raised concerns on two fronts: the continuous rise in prices due to monopolistic situations and the increase in sophisticated banking fraud targeting consumers.
The General Secretary of ACIM, Jayen Chellum, stated that the establishment of an inter-ministerial committee under the auspices of the Prime Minister's office is necessary to address these issues effectively.
