Curepipe: Rs 160,000 Seized During Drug Operation, Tailor Arrested

A police operation conducted by the ADSU officers in Curepipe led to the arrest of a 56-year-old tailor and the seizure of Rs 160,000 as part of an investigation into suspected drug trafficking and money laundering.

The search carried out yesterday, May 18, at the suspect's home uncovered 36.09 grams of cannabis, 55 cannabis seeds, and three plants measuring 90 cm, 15 cm, and 10 cm.

The suspect has been arrested for possession of cannabis intended for distribution. An investigation into money laundering has also been initiated. The man is currently being held in custody.
