Tragedy of Dialysis Patients in Souillac: The Wait Becomes Burdensome for the Families of the Deceased

More than a year after the start of the judicial investigation into the 12 deaths of dialysis patients at the Souillac hospital during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, hearings are still ongoing at the Curepipe court. Family members of the victims, along with doctors and officials from the Ministry of Health, have already taken the stand before Magistrate Shavina Jugnauth. However, for several families and representatives of the patients, the passage of time is becoming increasingly burdensome.
