Silver Bank Case: Former First Deputy Governor Questioned by Investigators

The investigation into Silver Bank Limited has taken a new turn with the questioning on Monday of Mardayah Kona Yerukunondu, the former First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Mauritius (BOM). He was interviewed as a witness by investigators from the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC), along with other BOM employees.

This hearing comes as the FCC intensifies its inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the management, oversight, and gradual collapse of this financial institution.
