PMQT's: Deaths in Custody: 37 Cases Since November 2024

The issue of deaths occurring in police and prison custody was raised by MP Anabelle Savabaddy. Navin Ramgoolam, in his capacity as Minister of the Interior, revealed that from November 2024 until May 14 of this year, two deaths were recorded in police custody and 35 in prison facilities.
