Alleged Drug Importation: A Package Addressed to a Resident of Albion Intercepted at the Post Office
A package intended for a resident of Albion was intercepted during a joint operation conducted by the ADSU officers and customs services at the Port-Louis post office. The operation, carried out on May 20 as part of a session of the Return Letter Office Committee, led to the discovery of 550 grams of a blue substance and 850 grams of a green substance, both suspected to be dangerous drugs.
According to gathered information, the substances were hidden in two separate containers inside the registered package. The parcel arrived by air on February 21. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact nature of the substances and the circumstances surrounding this alleged drug importation case.
