Council of Ministers: Cybersecurity: New Rules for Strategic Sectors

The Council of Ministers on Friday, May 22, acknowledged the implementation of the Cybersecurity and Cybercrime (Critical Information Infrastructure Designation) Regulations 2026. These regulations aim to establish a regulatory framework for the identification and management of critical information infrastructures in Mauritius. The new regulations will affect several sectors deemed strategic, including financial and banking services, public services, ICT, and broadcasting.
