Ebola: The SAJ Recreation Centre in Riambel to be Designated as a Quarantine Centre

In the event of detecting a suspected case of Ebola, whether imported or local, the Ministry of Health and Wellness will establish a "Quarantine Centre" at the SAJ Recreation Centre in Riambel. As of now, according to the latest discussions from the Council of Ministers, no tourists or travelers from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan are allowed to set foot in Mauritius.

Mauritians visiting high-risk countries or anyone holding a work permit in Mauritius will need to be quarantined for a period of 21 days before being permitted to move freely within the country. Authorities have also intensified health measures at the airport to prevent the local spread of the virus.
