A tragic domestic incident occurred on Friday, June 5, 2026, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old woman living in Bain-des-Dames. Her lifeless body was discovered at her partner's home.
According to the findings of the autopsy conducted on Saturday, June 6, by the medical examiner, the cause of death was attributed to massive hemorrhage resulting from approximately twenty stab wounds to the neck, chest, and abdomen.
The victim had been in a relationship for several years with the primary suspect, a 29-year-old man who was already known to the police. He has been arrested by law enforcement and appeared before the Bail and Remand Court. He is set to face further legal proceedings on Monday, June 8, 2026.
