Weather: Warning of Strong Swells Until Tuesday, June 24

A warning for strong swells has been issued for Mauritius at 4:00 PM this Sunday, June 22. This warning is effective from 4:00 AM on Monday, June 23, 2025, until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
According to a special statement from the Vacoas meteorological station, energetic swells from the southwest are approaching the Mascarenes and will influence the sea conditions around Mauritius.
The open sea is expected to become very rough, with waves reaching approximately 4 meters. These waves may also impact lagoons and crash onto low-lying coastal areas, especially in the west and south of the island, particularly during high tide.
It is strongly recommended that fishermen, boaters, and the general public refrain from going out to sea and exercise caution on exposed beaches during high tides. This bulletin may be revised based on upcoming updates.
High tide times in Mauritius:
• Monday, June 23: 12:12 PM and 11:17 PM
• Tuesday, June 24: 1:03 PM
