Haniyyah Saumtally Awarded for Her Artistic Work at the School Certificate

Haniyyah Saumtally has been honored by the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES) for one of the best art projects presented at the School Certificate exams. Her painting, titled "The Neura-Media Chips", explores the impact of social media and artificial intelligence on youth through both artistic and critical lenses.
A passionate painter since childhood, Haniyyah chose art as her field of study, which allowed her to enhance her creativity and technique. Her artwork, the result of two years of effort, aims to raise awareness about the psychological effects of modern technologies.
During the award ceremony, she expressed her gratitude to God, her father Reza Saumtally, her mother Shaakirah, and her teacher Ms. Jhummun. Her message to young people was: "Success is built on discipline, passion, and rigorous organization."
