Mauritius Voices Concern Over the Situation in the Middle East

Mauritius expresses its concern regarding the situation in the Middle East.

The Republic of Mauritius, like the rest of the peace-loving world, expresses its deep concern over the escalation of violence observed over the weekend in the Middle East. This situation, if not contained, risks worsening and spreading the conflict throughout the region, thereby jeopardizing peace in this part of the world.

This was stated in a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, June 23. The Republic of Mauritius urges the international community to use its influence so that all parties involved give diplomacy a chance to peacefully resolve the emerging disputes.

Continuing the conflict would only exacerbate an already critical situation, the statement emphasizes. Therefore, the Republic of Mauritius makes an urgent appeal to all involved parties for an immediate cessation of hostilities, urging them to exercise wisdom and engage in dialogue to restore peaceful coexistence in the region.
