Oil Prices Drop by Over 5% Following Iranian Attack on US Military Base

Oil prices plummeted on Monday following reports of an Iranian missile attack on the US military base at Al-Udeid in Qatar.

As of 17:45 GMT, the price of American WTI crude fell by 5.25% to $69.96 per barrel, while North Sea Brent, the global benchmark, dropped by 5.23% to $72.98 per barrel.
