Transinvest Engages in a Major Cleaning and Beautification Operation in Bambous
Transinvest Construction Ltd (TCL) answered the call from the Rivière-Noire District Council by actively participating in a large cleaning and beautification initiative in Bambous from Thursday, June 12 to Saturday, June 14. This initiative reflects the group's ecological and social commitment to creating a more sustainable island.
Over the course of these three days, the village of Bambous underwent a significant makeover, including the cleaning of vacant lots, planting, beautification, and painting. Transinvest worked hard to ensure the success of this ambitious operation. The company provided participants with TCL t-shirts, refreshments, and around fifty young plants, as well as offering organizers trucks, bobcats, and loaders for cleaning extensive areas.
The operation, which was launched on Thursday, June 12, during a ceremony at the Village Hall of Bambous, also saw participation from Rajesh Baghwan, Minister of the Environment, and Arvin Babajee, the constituency's Member of Parliament, along with several other companies such as Medine, Gamma, and UBP.
"We are proud to contribute to making this region of the West greener, cleaner, and more welcoming. Transinvest has long supported national efforts to make Mauritius a sustainable and inclusive island. We initiated a crucial initiative for the ecological transition at the end of 2024, prioritizing the use of hot recycled asphalt for the construction and maintenance of our roads. These materials, recycled from old road surfaces, provide an eco-friendly alternative to traditional asphalt," emphasized Inishka Katoorah, Health Safety Environment from Transinvest, on this occasion.
The company was presented with a Shield from the District Council for its efforts and support.
