Obituary: Farewell to Alain Rouget, Master of Letters

The Mauritian bar and intelligentsia are in mourning. Raymond Marrier d'Unienville, a King's Counsel and esteemed historian, has passed away at the age of 93. The Mauritius Bar Association announced his death on Sunday, August 17, and his funeral took place yesterday, Monday, August 18, at 2 PM at the Notre-Dame du Bon Secours Church in Trou-d’Eau-Douce. The island has lost an exceptional servant whose entire life was dedicated to the law.
