Flic-en-Flac: A Search for Attempted Murder Leads to the Discovery of an Illegal Synthetic Drug Lab
In a raid conducted yesterday, Sunday, October 5, at an apartment in Flic-en-Flac as part of an investigation into an earlier attempted murder in the area, police made a shocking discovery. Inside, they seized several bottles of colored liquids, green tea, and an electronic scale. Synthetic drugs, hidden in various rooms, were also found in several bags, weighing a total of 6.45 kilograms and estimated to be worth Rs 96.7 million. A sum of Rs 140,000 was also confiscated. Two suspects, aged 27 and 41, were arrested, while another managed to escape upon the arrival of law enforcement officers.
Police suspect that part of the drugs was flushed down the toilet. Three vehicles were also seized on-site, likely used for transporting the drugs and connected to an earlier assault on a security officer. This operation was conducted by the Divisional Crime Intelligence Unit (DCIU) of the Western Division along with local police. The investigation is ongoing.
