Eau-Coulée: Brandon Malabar Confesses to Killing His Wife

In Eau-Coulée, Brandon Malabar has admitted to murdering his wife, Danaa Laeticia Malabar. The TikTok influencer turned himself in to the police on Wednesday, October 15. The 30-year-old confessed to stabbing the woman he had been with for six years. He then led investigators to an abandoned house in Curepipe, where the body of Danaa Laeticia Malabar was discovered, showing multiple wounds.

The young woman's disappearance had been reported by her mother at the Eau-Coulée police station last Sunday. A mother of two children aged 5 and 3, Danaa Laeticia Malabar had left her mother's home that day and had not been heard from since.

Earlier in the week, Brandon Malabar had posted a video on TikTok asking the public for help in finding his wife. According to initial findings from the investigation, yet another argument had erupted between the couple that day. They reportedly went to a shopping center in Beau-Vallon, where the dispute continued before all trace of the young woman vanished.

During questioning by the CID of Eau-Coulée, Brandon Malabar's tone shifted. After extensive interrogation, he confessed. He detailed how he had fatally assaulted his wife before hiding her body in an abandoned house.

An autopsy is set to be performed this afternoon to determine the exact cause of death.

Previously active on TikTok, Brandon and Danaa portrayed themselves as a happy, united couple, regularly sharing videos of their daily lives.
