Kishore Beegoo: "Bérenger Doesn't Like My Image"

A news story that caused quite a stir! Kishore Beegoo announced his resignation as the chairman of the board of Air Mauritius on Thursday, October 23, primarily due to a matter of principle.

"I have principles. There are politicians who tell you what to do or not to do... I will never work under a political boss," Kishore Beegoo stated during a press conference in the afternoon. "If I'm asked to make decisions that are not in the company’s interest, that’s not right," he exclaimed.

He lamented the comments made by Paul Bérenger, the Deputy Prime Minister, regarding him. "There are some politicians who talk nonsense. He calls himself Mr. Bérenger. He doesn’t like my image," Kishore Beegoo mentioned.

The former chairman reminded everyone that he inherited the airline in a "very difficult situation. We have been operating for ten months."

"We must thank the leader of the Opposition and the MSM... they did not put obstacles in our way. It is the Deputy Prime Minister who has put obstacles in our way," he added.
