The Wife of Mamy Ravatomanga Questioned by the FCC: "I Am Not Involved in My Husband's Affairs"

The wife of Malagasy businessman Mamy Ravatomanga stated, "I am not involved in my husband's affairs," during her hearing with the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) on Friday. The FCC is investigating Mamy Ravatomanga, who is suspected of transferring a significant amount of money from Madagascar to Mauritius.

During her interrogation, Ramy Ravatomanga claimed to be a housewife and denied having any connection to her husband’s professional activities. After about three hours of questioning, she was allowed to return home while remaining available for further inquiries by the commission.

The hearing took place in the presence of her lawyers, Me Devina Deonarain and Me Krishen Luximon. Earlier that day, investigators conducted a search at her home in Belle Vue Harel. According to our sources, no incriminating evidence was found during this operation.

However, investigators seized Mrs. Ravatomanga's mobile phone, which will be examined in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Mamy Ravatomanga remains hospitalized for health reasons. The businessman is still under investigation by the FCC regarding suspicions of illicit fund transfers between Madagascar and Mauritius. His bank accounts, along with those of several of his companies, have been frozen by an attachment order issued by the Supreme Court at the request of the FCC.
