Where was 'El Capo' hiding?
Since the arrest of Brandon Rodrigues Senna, also known as 'El Capo', on Wednesday, the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Flacq has been trying to locate the exact place where the Guyanese national was staying, suspected of drug trafficking and kidnapping. Investigators believe this location may have also served as a hideout for drugs and possibly weapons.
A presumed victim claims to have been kidnapped in L’Espérance Trébuchet during the night of October 25 to 26. According to his account to the police, Brandon Rodrigues Senna was giving orders to his masked accomplices before taking him to a wooded area to force him to beg for forgiveness.
On TikTok, the 31-year-old suspect is gaining attention with his masked face, tattoos, and a gun in hand, boasting about having kidnapped traffickers in Mauritius to "settle scores". After arriving on the island in late May 2025, Brandon Rodrigues Senna is already recorded in French Guiana in a cocaine trafficking case linked to Orly Airport, France. However, no concrete connections have been established in Mauritius yet.
The CID of the Eastern Division, led by SP Vikash Babajee and Inspector Shibnauth, is continuing its investigation to locate the hideout of the alleged drug trafficker.
