Final Farewell to Former Vice President Eddy Boissezon

Numerous people gathered this morning at the Elie and Sons funeral home in Beau-Bassin to bid farewell to Eddy Boissezon, the former Vice President of the Republic. Family, friends, colleagues, and political figures were present to honor the memory of this man who made a significant impact on the Mauritian public scene.

He was given a state funeral. The funeral procession, led by members of the Special Mobile Force (SMF), made its way to the Church of the Visitation in Vacoas before proceeding to the Saint-Pierre cemetery for burial. His coffin was draped in the national flag.

Eddy Boissezon passed away on Saturday at the age of 73.
