Funeral of Former Vice President Eddy Boissezon

Many gathered this morning at the Elie and Sons funeral chapel in Beau-Bassin to pay their last respects to Eddy Boissezon, the former Vice President of the Republic. Friends, family, colleagues, and political figures took the time to honor the memory of this man who significantly impacted Mauritian public life.

Eddy Boissezon is to receive a state funeral. Members of the Special Mobile Force (SMF) are responsible for escorting the funeral procession to the Church of the Visitation in Vacoas. He will subsequently be buried at the Saint-Pierre cemetery, with his coffin draped in the national flag.

In an atmosphere of solemnity and emotion, loved ones and dignitaries bid farewell to Eddy Boissezon, who passed away on Saturday at the age of 73.
