A warning for heavy rain is in effect in Mauritius until 4:00 PM this Friday. The atmospheric conditions in the region are humid and unstable, promoting the formation of active clouds around the island, according to the weather bulletin from the Vacoas meteorological station issued on Friday, November 7.
This morning, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy, with showers mainly in the North, East, and central plateau. These showers will be locally moderate and may temporarily become heavy.
In the afternoon, the showers will spread toward the South and may be accompanied by isolated thunderstorms.
The maximum temperature will range from 23 to 26 °C in the highlands, and from 28 to 31 °C in coastal areas.
The weather will remain partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy during the night, with showers at times in the North, East, and central plateau.
The minimum temperature will vary between 17 and 19 °C in the central plateau, and between 21 and 23 °C on the coast.
The wind will blow from the northeast at 10 to 20 km/h, temporarily strengthening with gusts during showers.
The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, with swells from the southwest of around 2 meters.
