Weather: A heavy rain warning has been issued for Mauritius until 10 PM this Friday.
A warning for heavy rains was issued for Mauritius at 2:30 PM on Friday, November 7, 2025, by the Vacoas weather station. The warning is effective until 10 PM tonight.
"The atmospheric conditions in our region remain humid and unstable, conducive to the formation of active clouds. Moderate to heavy showers, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms, are observed over the southern part of the island. These stormy showers will persist and may spread to other areas," states the meteorological service in its announcement.
Water accumulation is likely in flood-prone areas. Visibility will be reduced due to fog and showers in certain regions.
