Meeting of the Parliamentary Group at the PMO: "Business as Usual," According to Ministers and MPs

At a parliamentary meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Monday afternoon, November 10, ministers and MPs responded with "Business as usual."

Present at the meeting, MMM leader Paul Bérenger chose not to comment.

Joanna Bérenger, Junior Minister for the Environment, stated, "We are continuing our work in government."

Ajay Gunness, Deputy Leader of the MMM, added, "A good atmosphere, good understanding."

This meeting comes amid a particularly tense political climate. A year after the Alliance of Change's victory in the last legislative elections, internal tensions persist.

During a previous meeting on November 6 with Navin Ramgoolam, Paul Bérenger expressed his "exasperation" at the slow pace of reforms and controversial appointments, demanding changes in strategic positions.

Meanwhile, MMM members are holding their political bureau this afternoon at Ambrose. They have until the end of the week to assess the situation.
