"The Fight Doesn't Stop!": Nasser Beekhy's First Reaction After His Release

"The Fight Doesn't Stop!" These were the first words of Nasser Beekhy as he exited the Port-Louis courthouse on Friday, November 14, after being granted conditional release. Speaking to the press, he stated: "I will focus on my health first... if there are any updates, we will address them."

To regain his freedom, Nasser Beekhy had to pay a bail of 500,000 rupees and sign a debt acknowledgment of 1 million rupees. He is subject to a curfew from 10 PM to 5 AM and must report daily to the nearest police station between 6 AM and 6 PM. He is also prohibited from contacting witnesses in the case.

Arrested in October by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) as part of an investigation into the Malagasy businessman, Mamy Ravatomanga, he faces a provisional charge of conspiracy.
